It's 1957, and Bunny and her girls are running the reference department of a major TV network. That's when the top brass decides they're going to save money by replacing the girls with a new-fangled “thinking machine”...one of the earliest computers.

The machine is meant to replace the whole department... but neither the computer, nor the handsome "efficiency expert",
can win a game of wits against the girls of "The Desk Set"...
