Mr. Vrscak is a professional artist/illustrator and an elected member of the American Watercolor society. A frequent national award winner, he has exhibited throughout the United States as well as Canada and Australia with works in many corporate collections. His work is widely published including THE ARTISTS' magazine, Splash 2, and INTERNATIONAL ARTIST magazine. He has been teaching popular watercolor classes and workshops for several years.
Emphasis in these workshops will be on allowing students to relax and enjoy the activity of watercolor painting while increasing their understanding of concept and design principles that will help them produce more effective paintings.
Through the use of demonstrations, and individual critiques, the class will be taught to look beyond the representational aspect of subject matter to see the dynamic qualities that will help make a painting come alive. Individual expression will be encouraged. Personal attention will be given to each student. Students should bring whatever watercolor materials they already have and are comfortable with. work may be done outdoors, weather permitting, so portable gear is recommended: however, students should also bring sketches and photos from which to work indoors.
